The history of man’s development has always included interdependence with the animal kingdom. Animals were traditionally sources of labor, transportation, food, aesthetic wonder, and companionship. An integral part of the civilized world since the ancient Egyptians, animals have progressed from “beasts of burden” to our esteemed family members.
